通知 and 案内: notifying results and explaining how to proceed

Compare result notifications with event guidance, distinguishing received instructions from an approved application.

Notifying someone of results or changes

通知, read つうち, means notifying someone of a result or matter. says that the review result will be communicated by email.

says that a notification arrived but its contents have not yet been read. Arrival and checking its content are separate.

Explaining places, procedures, or use

案内, read あんない, means guidance about places, procedures, or use. offers guidance along the route to the venue.

says that instructions on applying were received. It does not establish that an application was completed or participation approved.

Reading the information where purposes overlap

says that a change of date and time was notified and guidance about the new venue was provided. Separate the changed fact from the location information.

The words can overlap when information is passed on. Rather than inferring approval from a heading, read what is communicated, such as 結果 or 申込方法, and the status described in the body.

alone tell you that the application is complete?

Show the answer and why

No. What was received was guidance on how to apply. Application completion needs separate confirmation.
