冷凍 and 冷蔵: freezing and refrigerated storage
Compare two storage nouns and their forms with する.
Freezing
冷凍 (れいとう) means freezing food or other items. 「肉を冷凍しました」 says that the speaker froze the meat.
「冷凍の魚を買いました」 means buying frozen fish. 冷凍の describes its state but does not by itself specify whether it was cooked.
Keeping items chilled
冷蔵 (れいぞう) means storing something at a low, chilled temperature. It differs from freezing it.
「この食品は冷蔵してください」 requests refrigerating this food. The sentence alone gives no exact temperature or storage duration.
Nouns and actions
「冷凍できますが、冷蔵はできません」 says that freezing is possible but refrigerated storage is not. It does not rule out both.
「冷凍した肉を解凍します」 means thawing meat that was frozen. 解凍 reverses the frozen state; it does not mean finishing the cooking.
Can 「冷蔵してください」 be understood as a request to freeze the item?
Show the answer and why
