納品 and 配送: supplying ordered goods and transporting them
Compare the ordered-goods role of 納品 with the transport expressed by 配送. One delivery event can include both descriptions.
Supplying completed goods
納品, read のうひん, means delivering goods. 完成した部品を予定どおり納品した。 says that the completed parts were delivered on schedule.
The completed parts and the completed delivery action are both stated. Read the role of supplying the ordered goods to the other party.
Transporting goods
配送, read はいそう, means shipping or delivery. 注文した机は週末に配送される。 says that the ordered desk will be delivered over the weekend.
The sentence supplies the shipping time. The goods-supply role and the means or process of transport are different aspects.
Both descriptions in one event
店は割れ物の配送に厚い箱を使っている。 says that the shop uses thick boxes to ship fragile items. The packaging method is transport information.
Goods may be supplied as 納品 and sent by 配送 in the same event. Do not require the two words to describe separate events.
Is it contradictory to say ordered goods were 納品 and sent by 配送?
Show the answer and why
