営業 and 休業: operating hours and a period without business

Read notices dividing morning closure from afternoon operation, without inferring closing time from a sign that says the business is open.

Conducting business or operating

営業, read えいぎょう, refers to business activity or operation. says that the business is operating as usual today.

says that business hours are posted at the entrance. Being open now and having specified opening and closing times are different information.

A day or period without operation

says that the business is closed today for equipment inspection.

says that telephone service is also suspended during the closure. The sentence explicitly includes phone handling in its scope.

Dividing one day into time periods

says that the business is closed in the morning and opens in the afternoon. Do not expand 休業 to the whole day automatically.

announces that the business is currently open. Check business hours and service information separately to learn when it closes or which services are available.
