梅雨, 雨季, and 乾季: a repair wish and regional seasonal changes

Compare laundry and flowers during 梅雨, a roof-repair wish before 雨季, and river-level changes in some regions during 乾季. Read the seasonal names, regional limits, and actions stated.

Laundry and flower observation during 梅雨

(When the rainy season begins, laundry becomes harder to dry.) Difficulty does not become an absolute claim that nothing dries.

(This year, I observed the garden flowers even during the rainy season.) 今年は limits the account to this year, and 梅雨の間も includes observation even during the rainy season. The reported action is observing the garden flowers.

A repair wish before 雨季 and a river change

(I want to repair the roof before the rainy season begins.) 入る前に gives the time before the season begins. 修理しておきたい expresses the wish to have the roof repaired beforehand, rather than completed repairs.

(The river's water level rises during the rainy season in this region.) この地域では limits the statement to this region. Japanese 川の水量が増える describes an increase in the amount of river water, while the quoted English uses water level. Preserve these expressions without narrowing the Japanese amount to level alone.

Some regions in 乾季 and a comparison

(In some regions, river levels fall sharply during the dry season.) 地域もある indicates that such regions also exist. It does not give the same river-level change for every region.

(The research team compared changes in plants between the rainy and dry seasons.) 比べた reports the team's completed comparison of plant changes between the two seasons. Preserve the seasonal names without adding calendar dates or a shared starting date for every region.

What range and stage do 「乾季には川の水位が大きく下がる地域もある。」 give?

Show the answer and why

The first describes some regions where river levels fall sharply in the dry season. The second expresses a wish to repair the roof before the rainy season begins. The regional limit does not become universal, and the wish does not become completed repair.
