Treatment of People and Employee or Community Welfare

Compare checking working conditions and instructing fair customer treatment with employee-welfare facilities and community activities considered in class. Preserve targets and reported stages.

Conditions in a table and an instruction about customers

待遇 (たいぐう) means treatment or working conditions. — “We checked a table showing differences in working conditions by employment type.” Differences by employment type were checked in a table. No specific amounts or benefit system are supplied.

— “We told the employees to treat every customer fairly.” Every customer is the target of fair treatment, and employees receive the instruction. Giving that instruction does not report that fair treatment was already achieved.

Employee facilities and community activities considered in class

厚生 (こうせい) means welfare or well-being. — “The company provided facilities to support employee welfare.” The company provided facilities supporting employee welfare.

— “In class, we considered activities that benefit community well-being.” Activities useful to community well-being were considered in class. Considering them does not report that a community program was implemented.

Different targets and forms of support

待遇 concerns employment-related conditions or customer treatment here. 厚生 concerns support for employee or community welfare.

Do not reduce treatment to a pay amount or restrict welfare to company employees. Checking a table, giving instructions, providing facilities, and considering activities are distinct actions without added benefit systems or legal rights.

Does telling employees to treat every customer fairly report that fair treatment has already been achieved?

Show the answer and why

No. It reports an instruction given to employees. The sentence does not establish the result that every customer actually received fair treatment.
