熱 and 温度: applying heat and measuring temperature

Distinguish heat from temperature through common combinations and read the size of a temperature change.

Applying heat

means applying heat to metal.

means investigating a mechanism for releasing heat. It does not also mean operating the device.

Measuring temperature

means recording the temperature numerically.

says that the temperature rose from twenty to thirty degrees. The increase is ten degrees.

Action and measured result

says that heat was applied but the temperature has not yet been measured. Separate heating from a measured value.

means selecting heat-resistant material. The exact temperature it withstands is not specified.

If the temperature rises from twenty to thirty degrees, what is the increase?

Show the answer and why
