給料 and 収入: salary and income
Distinguish salary for work from income more broadly.
Pay from employment
給料 (きゅうりょう) refers to pay received for work. 「給料は月末に受け取ります」 says that the speaker receives their salary at the end of the month. The amount and detailed payment conditions are not specified.
「初めて給料をもらいました」 means receiving a salary for the first time. It reports receipt, not a wish to receive it later.
The wider category of income
収入 (しゅうにゅう) broadly means incoming money. 「給料以外の収入もあります」 says that there is income other than salary. Not all income can therefore be treated as pay from an employer.
「毎月の収入」 means monthly income. Check whether figures are monthly or annual totals to avoid comparing different units.
Income and money left over
「収入は増えましたが、貯金は増えていません」 means that income increased but savings did not. Income is money coming in, not necessarily what remains. Do not invent the cause or spending details.
「収入が安定していません」 means income is not stable. It does not say that income is zero; instability differs from having no income.
Does 「給料が上がりました」 mean every source of income increased?
Show the answer and why
No. It says that salary increased, not that every other income source did.
