Helping together and dividing the work

Compare joint help in making a map or finishing preparations with sharing housework and assigning regional survey roles. Equal workloads are not implied.

Joint work and the effect of cooperation

協力 means cooperation or collaboration. states that two groups worked together to make a large map.

says everyone’s cooperation allowed preparations to finish early. The help and its effect are stated; identical tasks for each person are not.

Dividing tasks and roles

分担 concerns sharing or dividing work. presents sharing the housework as a condition for finishing morning preparations sooner.

says a survey team divided roles by region. The target is the survey roles, not the placement of people in particular departments.

Joint help and allocated tasks

協力 emphasizes helping toward a shared goal, while 分担 emphasizes dividing tasks or roles. People can cooperate while carrying out divided work.

Distinguish the completed 分担した from the conditional 分担すれば. Cooperation or a division of work does not establish equal numbers of people, equal time, or equal workloads.

Does making a map together through 協力 mean the work was divided equally among everyone?

Show the answer and why

No. Joint cooperation is stated, but an equal allocation of work is not. Read the help toward a shared goal separately from how tasks are divided.
