形式: A Document Format and a Meeting’s Form

Compare saving an application in a designated format with a meeting conducted as dialogue. Identify the document or exchange organized by 形式 without adding approval or consensus.

形式 (けいしき): A designated saving format

「申請書を指定された形式で保存した。」 — “I saved the application in the designated format.” The application was saved in the designated format. 形式 identifies the way the document was saved.

The example supplies no file extension or format name. Saving does not report submission or approval of the application.

対話形式: How a meeting proceeds

「会議は対話形式で進められた。」 — “The meeting was conducted as a conversation.” The meeting was conducted in dialogue form. 対話形式 identifies a way of conducting the exchange.

Dialogue form does not establish that everyone spoke equally or reached agreement. The form of the meeting is separate from its outcome.

Find the object whose form is described

Find the object qualified by 形式: the document being saved or the meeting being conducted. Do not interchange the document format and the manner of exchanging views.

The application and meeting are separate examples. They do not say the meeting approved that application or that dialogue form was a file extension.

What kinds of form are described for the saved application and the 対話形式 meeting?

Show the answer and why

The document’s saving format and the meeting’s manner of proceeding. Saving is not approval, and dialogue is not a completed consensus.
