JLPT Mock Tests: how they work and sample questions
Explore how Kotomoa’s independently created mock tests work. You can read and check the vocabulary, grammar, and listening samples below without signing in.
Different from the official test
Kotomoa mock tests are not official past papers or certification tests. Results describe your practice here; they do not guarantee an official JLPT score or a passing result.
The test list distinguishes free tests from those requiring a purchase. Full attempts use your account; public samples do not create attempts, rankings, or purchase entitlements.
Before starting a full attempt
Choose a level and set, then read its periods, subjects, and time limits. One-question and full-screen modes change the presentation, not which answers are correct.
Start listening with the start button. Check your sound and device first, and review unanswered questions before submitting.
Turn the result into review
Review section scores and explanations for incorrect answers, not only the total. For example, if you confuse the place marker in 図書館で勉強します, compare で for the location of an activity before adding more vocabulary. Separating vocabulary, grammar, and listening-sequence difficulties helps narrow your next study target.
The samples expose only three designated questions from N5 Set 1. Their answers are for study; they do not provide access to the full test’s answers or audio.
