変更 and 訂正: changing a plan or correcting an error
Compare schedule changes with corrections, without assuming that every change fixes an error in the original information.
Changing details or conditions
変更, read へんこう, means changing an arrangement or condition. means that the meeting place was changed to the area in front of the station.
says that the time was changed to fit a new schedule. It does not say that the original time was written incorrectly.
Correcting something written or said
means that the date written in the document was corrected.
says that the kanji in a name was corrected because it contained an error. Identify what was wrong.
Different reasons for changing a date
says that the event date was changed. says that the event date written in the notice was corrected.
A correction changes content too, but 訂正 focuses on fixing an error. Check whether a notice changes the actual schedule or only corrects its written representation.
alone establish that the original notice contained a typo?
Show the answer and why
No. It only states that the meeting place was changed. An error could be identified with wording such as 誤りを訂正しました。
