ずくめ

Describes a state in which a succession of things or events with the same character fills the whole.

Examples

今週は祝い事ずくめで、家の中が明るい。

This week has brought nothing but celebrations, so the mood at home is cheerful.

新居は新しい家具ずくめだった。

The new home was filled with nothing but new furniture.

Structure: Attach ずくめ to a noun to describe a period or thing filled entirely with events or items of the same kind.
Basic usage: 今週は祝い事ずくめで、家の中が明るい。 means that the week is full of happy occasions, keeping the household cheerful.

Not limited to a positive judgment
- いいことずくめ positively describes nothing but good things. 黒ずくめの服装 describes an outfit entirely in black, so ずくめ itself does not always convey praise.
