Indicates that the same feeling or memory naturally arises whenever a certain situation occurs.

Examples

Structure: Attach につけ to a dictionary-form verb to connect a recurring occasion with a feeling or thought.
Basic usage: 故郷の写真を見るにつけ、祖母の言葉を思い出す。 presents seeing hometown photos as a recurring trigger for memories of the speaker's grandmother.

- 見るたびに枚数を数える neutrally describes counting each time, whereas 見るにつけ思い出す focuses on the memory that arises on each occasion.
