Structure: Reported content takes the quotation particle と and 言われている.

A report and an established fact
- と言われている indicates that people say or believe something. It does not guarantee the speaker's firsthand confirmation or everyone's agreement.
Connecting the quoted clause
- Retain the nominal copula だ, as in 名所だと言われている. An i-adjective connects directly in its plain form, as in 鳥が多いと言われている.
