Indicates that previously established facts or results are taken into account in a judgment or action.

前回の反省を踏まえて、手順を改善しました。

In light of what we learned last time, we improved the procedure.

Structure: を踏まえて（をふまえて） follows facts or results to describe incorporating them into the grounds for a judgment or measure.
Basic usage: 前回の反省を踏まえて、手順を改善しました。 means using lessons from the previous occasion to improve the procedure.

Modifying an action or a noun
- 結果を踏まえて計画する modifies the action of planning, whereas 結果を踏まえた計画 is a noun phrase for a plan incorporating the results. Use 踏まえた before the noun.
