申請が期限内に受理されたものとして、審査を進めます。

We will proceed with the review on the assumption that the application was accepted by the deadline.

全員が出席するものとして、席を用意した。

We prepared seats on the assumption that everyone would attend.

この数値は正しいものとして計算を続ける。

We will continue the calculation on the assumption that this value is correct.

Structure: Follow a plain-form verb or i-adjective with ものとして to treat its content as an established condition for a judgment or task.
Basic usage: 全員が出席するものとして、席を用意した。 means that seats were prepared on the assumption that everyone would attend.

Time of the assumed condition
- 出席するものとして assumes future attendance, whereas 受理されたものとして assumes an acceptance already completed. Distinguish the time assumed in the first clause from the tense of the following task.
Belief versus a working assumption
- 正しいと思う expresses a judgment that something is correct. 正しいものとして計算する focuses on adopting correctness as the starting assumption for calculation.
